Terms of use.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

1. Who we are

SuperCyber is a trading name of Love the Idea Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 11339413; registered office 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX; ICO registration ZB190313). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Love the Idea Ltd, and "the site" means this website and the free toolkits on it.

2. General guidance only

The site gives general information for small businesses. It is not a penetration test, a security audit, legal advice, or a guarantee that you are safe. The Cyber Essentials readiness check is our own plain-English check. It is not the official Cyber Essentials question set and it does not give you a certificate. Cyber Essentials is a UK government scheme delivered with IASME, and certification is issued only by licensed certification bodies. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Decide what to do for your own business, and take advice from a qualified professional where it matters.

3. Threat information and links

Our threat toolkits summarise public advisories from national agencies and software makers. We try to keep them accurate and up to date, but advisories change, fixes can be withdrawn, and we can be slow to catch up. Always check the linked source and your software maker before you act. We are not responsible for the content of other websites.

4. Acceptable use

Use the toolkits only on domains, passwords and email addresses that are yours, or that you have clear permission to check. You must not:

  • use the site to check, probe or target other people or businesses;
  • send automated or high-volume requests, or try to get around the limits and the email confirmation on the breach check;
  • try to damage, overload or break into the site or the services behind it;
  • use results to harass, extort or defraud anyone.

We may limit or block access if we think the site is being misused.

5. Third-party services

Some toolkits use other companies' services: Cloudflare's public DNS service for the email domain check, the Pwned Passwords service for the password check, and LeakCheck for the email breach check. Breach data is provided by LeakCheck (leakcheck.io). We do not control these services and they may change or stop working. See our privacy policy for what is sent to them.

6. Availability

The free toolkits are provided as they are. We may change, pause or remove any toolkit at any time, and we do not promise the site will always be available or free of errors.

7. Our content

The site design, text, logo and code belong to Love the Idea Ltd or its licensors. You may use the results of the toolkits for your own business. You may not copy the site or republish our toolkits without our permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners.

8. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from relying on the free toolkits, or for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption. The free toolkits are not a substitute for professional security services.

Paid services such as managed monitoring and incident response are provided under a separate written agreement, which takes priority over these terms for those services.

9. Data protection

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy and our cookies page.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer you keep any rights you have under the law of the place where you live that we cannot exclude.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: use our contact form. Data controller registration with the ICO: ZB190313.
